Workshop subject: Chunking as a mechanism in language processing, change & acquisition

 

Topics will include:

  • Frequencies, chunking, entrenchment, schematization: What are the processes and products?
  • Perception & processing: Does everything that we can count in language count in language cognition and acquisition?
  • Corpus-based & psycholinguistic/experimental chunking studies: What is a chunk?

                            Adaptive System" & Discussion of current research projects

16:15 - 17:00      Final Discussion "Chunking Language"
