Zusammenfassung in deutscher Sprache

Summary in English

The proposed spring school /Empirical Methods in Cognitive Linguistics/ invites five project groups with 6-8 students, each of which will be coached by a pair of faculty researchers. Over the course of five days, these groups will develop an empirical interdisciplinary project, carry out data collection and analysis, and present their results to the other participants. The ten invited faculty members are high-profile international researchers from the fields of linguistics, psychology, and cognitive science. The main aim of the spring school is to put the participants in touch with current empirical research methodologies and to foster an ability of developing innovative research questions. The spring school is geared towards students with a background in linguistics who want to expand their skill set by learning about empirical methodologies that are currently used in the cognitive sciences. The spring school targets students that are enrolled in Master’s or Doctoral studies, but also Postdocs and interested applicants from fields other than linguistics will be considered. Participants from outside Germany are also welcome to apply.
